Builders, tradespeople and construction firms from Monaghan and Cavan are invited to a visit to the FastHouse timber frame factory on the Clones Road in Monaghan on Thursday, 5 November 2026, from 9.30am to 1pm. The event is being run by Skillnet MMC Accelerate to show Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) in action, Northern Sound reports.
About FastHouse
According to Skillnet MMC Accelerate, FastHouse designs, engineers and installs hybrid and closed-panel timber frame systems. It serves the UK from its factory in Northern Ireland. It bought the Monaghan-based Century timber frame business to serve the Republic. The company says this doubled its capacity to 3,000 homes a year, and it now has more than 380 staff across both jurisdictions.
How to go
The visit counts for 2 CPD hours.
Space is limited. Registering is an expression of interest and doesn't guarantee a place.
Priority goes to people attending a Skillnet MMC Accelerate event for the first time.
Places will be confirmed by email on 3 November.
Skillnet MMC Accelerate is a national Skillnet Ireland initiative that supports the use of MMC.
