Scotstown now know their Ulster opponents. The Monaghan and reigning Ulster champions will play Magherafelt in the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship quarter-final at St Tiernach's Park, Clones, at 1.30pm on the weekend ending 8 November, according to Ulster GAA's fixtures and BBC Sport.
How Magherafelt got there
Magherafelt beat Newbridge 3-17 to 0-20 in the Derry final at Celtic Park on Sunday, 25 October, BBC Sport reports. It is their first Derry title since 2019, and it stopped Newbridge winning three in a row.
The goals came from Johnny McErlain, Aidan McCluskey and Cormac Murphy, BBC Sport said.
Conall Higgins was man of the match.
Newbridge's Oisín Doherty scored 0-11.
Magherafelt are managed by Enda Muldoon and Gavin Devlin.
DerryNow said it was revenge for last year's county final, when Magherafelt lost to Newbridge 1-17 to 1-15. Magherafelt led by 12 points in the second half before Newbridge hit back, and a late Murphy goal sealed it.
Monaghan's club champions now head into Ulster. Scotstown host the Derry champions in Clones on Sunday 8 November, the junior champions meet St Mary's Rasharkin on 1 November, and Donaghmoyne and Truagh Gaels ladies are already winning in the provincial series.
Champions Scotstown, chasing a fourth title in a row, beat Inniskeen 1-18 to 3-09 to reach a 14th straight decider. Truagh edged Clontibret 4-16 to 2-19 in a six-goal semi-final. Throw-in is 3.30pm.
Monaghan junior champions Drumhowan play St Mary's Rasharkin of Antrim in the Ulster Junior Club Football quarter-final at Clones on Sunday at 1.30pm. Manager Paddy Kelly says his players are "not finished yet".
