Monaghan Harps Hurling Club has launched a limited-edition jersey with Irish rock band Fontaines D.C., the Anglo-Celt and Hot Press report. The jersey went on sale online on Monday, 26 October, and only 1,000 are being made.

Fontaines D.C. guitarist Conor Curley is from Emyvale and played hurling and football for Monaghan Harps when he was younger, Hot Press says. Curley gave a first look at the jersey on stage at the Roundhouse in London earlier this month, the Anglo-Celt reports.
The band's new album, Dopamine Chamber, came out on 16 October and went to No. 1 in the Irish albums chart. Fontaines D.C. will headline Slane Castle on 26 and 27 June 2027.
Money for the club
The jersey costs €80. Orders came in quickly after the launch, and the club expects the run to sell out "fairly fast".
The money raised will support the club's work promoting hurling, developing players and giving future generations a chance to play.
Hot Press says the jersey is sold on the O'Neills website, and the club links to it from its social media pages.
Club secretary Niall McClave said: "This is a fantastic and unique fundraiser which has been organised by two of our players, Sean Conway and Cillian Sherry." He said the club hopes it "will bring to light the amazing work being done by our members and coaches".
The club says the release is "about more than a jersey". It follows the band's earlier collaborations with Dublin football club Bohemians.
